Subject: Posting of Pedestrian Wait For The Gap Signs Oxton-Oriole

Hi Steve,

I just left you a voice mail. Here is an email version of the same message.

The city recently put up two signs at the corner of Oxton and Oriole Parkway that read: PEDESTRIANS WAIT FOR THE GAP.

There is a simple problem with that idea: This is a very busy corner so there is no gap.

Please replace these signs with ones that say: Pedestrians have right-of-way.

There are not many pedestrians here (remember this was back in 2003 - Mark) so the few that there are will not hold up the flow of traffic in any serious manner.

As it stands, it is very difficult for a large, strong healthy person to get across the street.

I think it would be next-to-impossible for someone who is aged or infirm.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards, Michael
